RGT, based in Surrey, offer a business class VoIP system
that can save your business money on your telephone bill.
What is VoIP?
VoIP is voice which is transmitted using the Internet Protocol
(IP). It is also sometimes referred to as Internet Telephony
or Voice over Broadband. In fact what happens is that voice signals
are broken down into packets of data which are transmitted to
the receiving end where they are reassembled to reform the original
voice message. This transmission can be delivered over the open
environment of the Internet or it may be carried on a private
network between a companies sites, or it may cross a combination
of public and private networks. In all these cases a call may
be referred to as VoIP but they will exhibit different characteristics
depending upon how well managed are the various networks traversed.
Why do I need VoIP?
VoIP allows you to send and receive telephone
and fax calls through the Internet, instead of using your telephone
or mobile
phone network.
What are the benefits of VoIP?
VoIP can save money on your telephone
bill, particularly when calling long-distance. VoIP offers
additional features that either aren't available
or cost more
using a traditional phone service.
